If you're going to get into those books, you might as well start with
the one that started it all: Holy Blood, Holy Grail, by Michael Baigent,
et al.  Just be aware that Baigent himself has described his approach
as not so much jumping to conclusions as pole-vaulting for them (or
similar language).  Nonetheless, this was the book that stirred up enough
interest in the connection between the Templars and the Masons for more
stodgy later scholarship to make a good case for it.  The publicity
can't have hurt Rosslyn Chapel much, either.

If you don't know what these things have to do with one another,
there are people on this list who can explain it better than I can.
A short version is that the Masons are directly descended from the
Templars, with the Sinclairs of Rosslyn first apparently providing
asylum for the Templars after they were driven off the continent
and later clearly becoming hereditary Grand Masters of the Masons.
Rosslyn Chapel was built by a Sinclair Grand Master (who was a
grandson of Prince Henry Sinclair the voyager) and is stuffed
to overflowing with Templar and Masonic symbolism.

Those of you who have studied these subjects more than I have,
please feel free to correct or add to any of the above.
