Greetings from Sunny Cape Cod Ma.

I have wondered the same thing.  I did find something about a Sinclair
Island off Hawaii.  One of the members  of that family has a web site which
tells a little.  see

There is a variety of information on the site so you will have to sift
through for the Sinclair part..
