David Sinclair Bouschor in Paul Sinclair's Webpage describes the
Sinclair Clan Seal: A rooster on a tartan background , surrounded by
the family motto, "Commit thy work to God". This symbol has been used
by the Sinclairs since their early days in Normandy to denote their
Norman ancestry. It is interesting to note that all of the churches
in Normandy have a rooster on one steeple to signify that the church
is completed and consecrated.
