Donald,
There are several of us descended from Sinclairs of Argyll.  I hadn't heard
that they were a different line than the Orkney and Caithness Sinclairs--I
just assumed sooner or later the line would go north.  If you know
specifics, I would be interested in the details.

I've often seen in Sinclair reference material that the Sinclairs from
Argyllshire and the West of Scotland are from a different line to the
Sinclairs of the north. As a Sinclair from Argyll ( Dalmally, Loch Awe) I'd
like to hear more on this side of the Sinclair family if any readers can
help.
