Dick,
    I missed the posting regarding Malcolm Sinclair.  Did you get a birthdate 
on him.  We have a Malcolm born between 1816 and 1838; our Malcolm is son of 
James Sinclair and Barbra Groat.  They were from Orkney.   Is this your
