I totally concur with Niven.  The gift of John's expertise, time and devotion 
to our clan unity so many times goes without a hearty thank-you.  Also to all 
the scholarly contributors that make the mail come to life- I appreciate 
those of you as well.  History was my dreaded subject throughout my formal 
education.  Amazing what a change one can make in a lifetime.
