Hi Toni,
    Sorry it's taken me so long to respond.  No the General was not in the
War of 1812 as far as my research has found.  He would have been almost 80
years old and I doubt would have been able to withstand the rigors involved.
If I find anything different, I'll be in touch.  I too am looking for that
connection with the War of 1812 for DAR purposes.
