Re: On the subject of Sinclair names

The Swedish commander in Stralsund, Germany (then part of Sweden) in the late
1600, Peter Macléer, dead 1697, is buried in the Nicholaio church in
Stralsund. In the same crypt, and under the coat of arms of the Macléers is
baron Malcolm Sinclair, dead 1739, also buried. I believe Malcolms
grandmother was a Macléer (the coat of arms tells us that Macléer/Mackellar
etc = Maclean). I believe this kind of connections are more a role than an
exception.
