The old Keiss Castle, south of the village of Nybster (north, across
Sinclair's
Bay, from Girnigoe), on the Caithness coastline. Pete Cummings, in his
pamphlet "Guide to Sinclair Landmarks," states "Built in the 16th
century by
Sinclairs, it served as a home for the Caithness Earls."
