Jenny: Please see the email reply to Dizzy...@aol.com I just sent. The
woman involved in the "burning" was Virginia Sinclair Shurter. It was
she who was called "Jenny". The woman I lovingly regard always as my
g-grandmother was Virginia Sinclair Boice Seeley, and she was often
called "Jane". My grandmother, Virginia Shurter Seeley Dutton DeGraff
was often called "Virge." It took me a lonnnnnng time to sort all this
out, because for years, the family never talked about it, though it was
common knowledge in the area. I think it's so wonderful that the
sisters were so very close, and that one cousin adopted the other young
one. You'll see the explanation as best as I can give re: Joseph in the
other email. Louise is my mother's middle name and it connects to the
Seeley line. However, Seeley and Sinclair come together in Vt. area
earlier as well, but I can't yet determine how. Many thanks and good
luck.
