This may be of interest , especially to Shirley Bowers. In the new book,
Genealogy Online for Dummies , on page 125, the authors mention
www.open.gov.uk/gros/regscot.htm , which is the general Register for the
Scotland Internet Service. I haven't tried this , but it is supposed to have
births, baptisms, marriages from Old Parish Registers 1553-1854 , and births
, marriages and deaths from Statutory Index-1855-1897. It should have 30
million names and credit card ordering. If anybody uses this please post the
