Re: Cartography and Sean Connery

and especially if you've seen a map in the past few days re: the discussion of
the possible opening up of northern air routes that are not currently available
due to closure of Russian and especially Siberian airspace...exactly as you are
illustrating...and there was a nice sketch map on the Smithsonian site as well:

    When you look at maps that feature Jerusalem as the centre of the world, its
easier to see their point of view...when you look at a Map of the world with the
North Pole as the centre - it is definitely a different world that you see...

    In Nova Scotia most of our available world maps place the middle of the
Atlantic Ocean as the Centre of the world...

ps.        I think Sean's a little too long in the tooth for the role of Henry -
who never lived near that long...sorry, Niven...Henry was born in 1345...he was
around 55 when he was killed...Sean's...mmmmm...112? And didn't he get turfed
from the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings - probably looked too old...TV
or major release film will want Keifer Sutherland as Henry...now there's a good
Nova Scotia boy...and still quite young...but I'm afraid it will all hinge on
who plays Janet Halyburton...Posh Spice or Pamela Lee Anderson...
