I beleive it was Earl George 4th. of Caithness that helped Mary escape, 
although it is not mentioned in "Mary Queen of Scots" by N. Brysson Morrison 
either. It does list the Lindsay, Hamilton, Douglass and Seton Lords though, 
which all are Sinclair allies.
