Serious historical works about Sinclairs
- Prince Henry Sinclair:
His Expedition to the New World in 1398,
-
1974 and 1995, by Frederick J. Pohl,
Clarkson N. Potter
New York,
ISBN: 1551091224.
This book includes many fascinating details, such as
the Legend of Glooscap,
passed down by the
Micmac Indians
about a white man who sailed across the sea.
These days, the
Glooscap Trail
is a big local tourist attraction.
No, the author (now deceased) is not Fred Pohl the science fiction writer
(I asked the sf author to be sure) jsq.

- The Sword and the Grail: Of the Grail and the
Templars and a True Discovery of America
-
1993, Andrew Sinclair.
This book fills in a lot of the gaps in the Pohl book,
and adds some new material, such as the 13th century Venetian cannon
that was found in Nova Scotia.
It is not the same as the book as The Sword and the Grail
by Constance B. Hieatt, which appears to be about the King Arthur myths. jsq

The book in which William Crooker claims to have found Prince Henry
Sinclair's Castle in Nova Scotia.
``William Crooker is a professional engineer whose fascination with Nova
Scotia's hidden treasures has made him
the foremost expert on the Oak Island
Money Pit which has puzzled people
for centuries. His earlier book was
called Oak Island Gold. It is surmised that
Prince Henry's
Templar
associates may have had a hand in the
construction of the ingenious devices which safeguarded the treasure which
is supposed to be hidden in the money
pit devices which have defiled treasure hunters for decades.

A Symposium, conducted by different speakers who focused upon many
aspects of Prince Henry Sinclair, was held at Lincoln, NH and at Westford, MA.
Here is Pete Cummings' description of it:
``This book has captured the depth and spirit of the many
topics of the recent Symposium at the Clan Gathering in
Lincoln, NH, and Westford, MA. The contents reveals a
broad picture of Prince Henry Sinclair, his family, his
Templar
connections, his voyage, his home, and his
monuments in Westford,
Newport,
and Rosslyn. We have
also included the fantastic presentation of Elaine
Fowler about how we can teach our children the Prince
Henry story.
``Presentations were made by eight speakers, including
Michael Kaulback, Suzanne Carlson, Derek Gunn, Bob
Green, Gordon Flaws, Beth Gay, and Pete Cummings. Most
of these are reflected in this book.''
